Job Description
IBM is looking for Software engineers to be part of the team responsible for verification and validation of the next generation IBM POWER processor module. This processor is the heart of all IBM POWER systems and IBM OPEN POWER systems. You will be writing bare metal code, that has access to all the processor resources, and will exercise the POWER processor to validate the processor architecture and all the functions. These exercisers are used for both pre and post silicon verification/validation. Work includes developing, debugging and executing tests on POWER processor design models.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Strong C Programming skills
  • Strong Computer Architecture / Micro-architecture knowledge
  • Good Linux skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
  • C++ Programming.
  • Scripting language (e.g. Python, PERL, Bash)
  • POWER assembly language skills
  • Familiarity with the POWER processor micro-architecture
  • Strong Version Control skills (git)
  • Verification / Validation experience
