De groep neemt een belangrijke positie in als producent van bedrijfsvoertuigen: vrachtwagens, bussen en machines voor burgerlijke bouwkunde en grondverzet. Volvo produceert verder ook scheeps- en industriële motoren. Sinds 1975 bouwt Volvo Group vrachtwagens in België en meer specifiek in Gent waar de vrachtwagenfabriek van Volvo Group Trucks Operations gevestigd is. De fabriek produceert bijna een derde van de totale Volvo-vrachtwagenproductie wereldwijd


Volvo Group Operations Graduate Program  

If you are up for the challenge of developing the next generation of production plants and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!  During 15 intense and exciting months, starting September 2019, the program will give you a holistic view of the Volvo Group’s global truck manufacturing organization. You will get to know our different brands and their plants and learn about our logistics organizations and activities worldwide. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end to end supply chain, aftermarket parts, and our remanufacturing operations.  In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several “on-the-job” rotations and have the opportunity to work on real project assignments. In addition, you will join a number of learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in training and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.

  • Quality Engineer 


Who are you? To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications and skills: 

  • Master of Science or Business Administration (civil engineering, industrial engineering, business engineering)
  • Valid work-permit for Belgium if not citizen  
  • Excellent spoken and written Dutch &  English
  • Maximum of two years previous work-experience after graduation
  • Process oriented, a strong hands-on mentality
  • Knowledge of workplace organization and time studies
  • Knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing is a strong asset
  • Strong in analytical reasoning
  • Good communicator
  • And above all a real team player
  • Plus several other skills depending on which program you choose
