The Faculty of Music at the University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint a Manager for the West Road Concert Hall to build on the successes of the Concert Hall as a first-class performance space supporting high-quality student music-making and playing host to a broad programme of externally promoted events which enrich the musical life of the Faculty, the wider University and the local community.
Leading a small operational team to ensure the effective running of the Concert Hall and associated facilities, the role holder will work strategically to balance academic needs with maximising opportunities for student performance and professional arts events, ensuring that relationships are nurtured with commercial clients to maintain essential revenue streams which support all other activity.

Widely regarded as one of the premiere music venues in and around Cambridge, the 500-seat auditorium hosts around 250 events each year in collaboration with 80 regular concert promoters and 10 major conference clients. The Concert Hall is a hub for student music-making activity with regular concerts by Faculty ensembles and student-led groups hosted and supported by the Concert Hall team. Alongside and in support of this activity, the Concert Hall hosts a selection of income-generating activities including professional and community concerts and cultural events, broadcasts and recordings as well as academic conferences and educational events.
The Faculty is looking for a skilled and flexible manager with a passion for the performing arts to ensure the continued success of the Concert Hall.
