We are looking to appoint a Research Nurse to join our established research team to assist with the recruitment of study participants to the Next Generation Childrens Project (NGC)
Next Generation Childrens Project (NGC) was established in 2016 to establish the feasibility of providing rapid diagnostics for children in Neonatal and Paediatric intensive care. The approach has been to consent parents and children for whole genome analysis as a trio and to deliver an interpreted research result within 2-3 weeks of recruitment.
The project seeks to create a fast track pipeline to deliver results in a timely manner to families. The research aims to investigate the best and most appropriate methods to do this.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient running of this study whilst maintaining a high standard of participant care. Main responsibilities include recruitment of patients/study participants and their families, the collection of data, maintenance of case report forms, study databases and investigator site files and co-ordinating activities in other centres.
The post holder must have NMC Level 1 registration, knowledge of working on clinical trials or other research. It is essential the post holder can work autonomously and as part of a team.
